Abandoned Pit Bull Puppies
A one-year-old female pit bull with her ears cut off and a litter of her puppies are receiving care after they were found abandoned in Max Berg Park in San Clemente.
A good Samaritan found the pit bull, who volunteers named Diamond, tied to a fence along with a small dog crate crammed with a dozen of her six-week-old puppies.
He took them to San Clemente-Dana Point Animal Shelter. There, veterinarians discovered that all 12 puppies had contracted canine parvovirus. Pet Project Foundation is looking for families willing to adopt, foster, or contribute financially to the puppies' care.
