Hello to all my old friends!!
My name is "Cesar" (that was my name at the shelter) and I was adopted about 5 years ago. My mom has been meaning to write to you but until she was at "Tail of Two Cities" last night she just hadn't done it.
I just wanted to let you know how very much all you did for me so long ago has meant to my mom and I. I was with you for about nine months and used to spend a lot of time in the office. I think people will remember me because I "smile" when you ask me too.
I am very happy with my mom and my kitty, "Rusty" who for the most part I really like. Although I don't like it when he sleeps on my bed and leaves no room for me. I still don't like the fourth of July and last year when I had an ultrasound, my mom found out why. I have bee-bee gun pellets under my skin. Quite a few actually, but my vet Dr. Mannix says they don't hurt me and there is no need to remove them. This upsets my mom a lot and makes her cry when she tries to figure out why someone would do that to any animal especially one as well behaved as I am. She thinks I am so well behaved because of you guys at the shelter.
I always sit and stay and I like to "shake". Every morning I get a treat from the local store because I walk up to the door, stop and sit and wait until the nice ladies give me my treat!
I love to be with other animals and people and love to go play with my other dog friends at The Pet Palace, they treat me like the "king" of the palace.
Anyway, thank you for everything you did to help me and all the other animals. It means so very very very much to us.
A few times, volunteers from the shelter have recognized me and stopped to say "hi", so if you ever see me around town please stop and scratch my ears and butt. I love to see old friends and make new ones too!!
I hope you like the picture. You can see what a good boy I am.
Like my mom says, she didn't save me, I saved her.
All my love and kisses, "Cesar" (and his mom, Amanda )
